Administration Appointments for 2024-2025, ¶¶Òõapp County Schools 

The following school and central-level administration appointments and transfers are effective for the 2024-2025 academic year.
 
New Principal Appointments
â–ª Caroline Black was appointed to serve as the principal at Cherryville Elementary School.  She previously served as the beginning teacher support coordinator in the Human Resources Department.

â–ª Kelsey Elms was appointed to serve as the principal at Hunter Huss High School.  She previously served as an assistant principal at South Point High School.
 
â–ª Kelli Glisan was appointed to serve as the principal at New Hope Elementary School.  She previously served as the assistant principal at J.V. Washam Elementary School in Cornelius.
 
â–ª Miriam Harvey was appointed to serve as the principal at John Chavis Middle School.  She previously served as the principal at James Love Elementary School in Shelby.
 
â–ª Taner Jarrett was appointed to serve as the principal at Warlick Academy.  He previously served as a director for the Department for Exceptional Children.

â–ª Nicole Lawson was appointed to serve as the principal at Hawks Nest STEAM Academy.  She previously served as the assistant principal at Costner Elementary School.
 
â–ª Anna Miller was appointed to serve as the principal at Bessemer City Central Elementary School.  She previously served as the assistant principal at Mount Holly Middle School.

â–ª Sharon Potts was appointed to serve as the principal at the ¶¶Òõapp Virtual Academy.  She previously served as the director for alternative education.
 
â–ª Allison Rhyne was appointed to serve as the principal at Stanley Middle School.  She previously served as the principal at Lincolnton Middle School.

â–ª William Winston was appointed to serve as the principal at Robinson Elementary School.  He previously served as an assistant principal at Hunter Huss High School.

Principal Transfers
â–ª April Conley was transferred to serve as the principal at Lowell Elementary School.  She previously served as the principal at Bessemer City Central Elementary School.
 
â–ª Todd Goff was transferred to serve as the principal at Bessemer City Primary School.  He previously served as the principal at J.B. Page Primary School.
 
â–ª Rebecca Huffstetler was transferred to serve as the principal at East ¶¶Òõapp High School.  She previously served as the principal at Stanley Middle School.

â–ª Bill Kessler was transferred to serve as the principal at J.B. Page Primary School.  He previously served as the principal at Bessemer City Primary School.
 
â–ª Kristin Kiser was transferred to serve as the principal at Belmont Central Elementary School.  She previously served as the principal at Lowell Elementary School.

â–ª Adair McKay was transferred to serve as the principal at W.C. Friday Middle School.  She previously served as the principal at the ¶¶Òõapp Virtual Academy.
 
â–ª Jessica Mellon was transferred to serve as the principal at W.P. Grier Middle School.  She previously served as the principal at Bessemer City Middle School.

â–ª Tammy Mims was transferred to serve as the principal at Forestview High School.  She previously served as the principal at Hawks Nest STEAM Academy.

â–ª Matt Rikard was transferred to serve as the principal at Ashbrook High School.  He previously served as the principal at John Chavis Middle School.
 
â–ª Aimee Tolleson was transferred to serve as the principal at Cramerton Middle School.  She previously served as the principal at Belmont Central Elementary School.

â–ª Lynn Whiteside was transferred to serve as the principal at W.B. Beam Intermediate School.  She previously served as the principal at New Hope Elementary School.

â–ª Page Willis was transferred to serve as the principal at North ¶¶Òõapp High School.  She previously served as the principal at W.C. Friday Middle School.

New Assistant Principal Appointments
â–ª Waheebah al-Uqdah was named an assistant principal at North ¶¶Òõapp High School.  She previously served as the health sciences academy coordinator at Highland School of Technology.

â–ª Alice Ballard was named an assistant principal at South Point High School.  She previously served as a teacher at East ¶¶Òõapp High School.

â–ª Katherine Cochran was named an assistant principal at Holbrook Middle School.  She previously served as a Principal Fellow at Holbrook Middle School and a teacher at North Belmont Elementary School. 

â–ª Stephanie Crump was named an assistant principal at Southwest Middle School.  She previously served as a teacher at Southwest Middle School.

â–ª Shanti Hinkle was named an assistant principal at Belmont Middle School.  She previously served as a teacher at Cramerton Middle School.

â–ª Anna Lineberger was named the assistant principal at John Chavis Middle School.  She previously served as a teacher in the Fort Mill School District.   

â–ª Emily Morton was named the assistant principal at Rankin Elementary School.  She previously served as a teacher at Lowell Elementary School.

â–ª Akera Patterson was named an assistant principal at W.C. Friday Middle School. She previously served as an instructional coach at Lingerfeldt Elementary School.

â–ª Gloria Powell was named an assistant principal at Ashbrook High School.  She previously served as a Principal Fellow at Pleasant Ridge Elementary School and a teacher at John Chavis Middle School. 

Central Office Appointments
â–ª Susie Bradley was named the director for student assignment in the Student Support Services Department.  She previously served as a student information system specialist in the Accountability and Testing Department.

â–ª Kelly Cunningham was named the chief accountability officer in the Academic Services Department. She previously served as the director of data use for school improvement for Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools.

â–ª Bryan Denton was named an executive director for secondary instruction in the Academic Services Department.  He previously served as the principal at Hunter Huss High School.

â–ª Kevin Doran was named an executive director for secondary instruction in the Academic Services Department.  He previously served as the principal at Cramerton Middle School.

â–ª Kathleen Koch was named the director for Academically or Intellectually Gifted (AIG) programs in the Academic Services Department.  She previously worked for the College Board.

â–ª Tom Nencetti was named the director for district planning and special projects in the Superintendent’s Office.  He previously served as the Channel 21 program manager in the Communications Department.

â–ª Jamie Peoples was named the director for employee relations in the Human Resources Department.  She previously served as the principal at Forestview High School.

â–ª Emily Poag was named the director for pre-kindergarten in the Academic Services Department.  She previously served as the principal at Robinson Elementary School.

â–ª Sarah Rector was named the director for professional development in the Academic Services Department.  She previously served as the director of ¶¶Òõapp Blended in the Student Support Services Department.
